About that Gainsbourg/Birkin photo.
I hate it. Don’t know why, but I find it too stiff, posed and un-sexy. I suppose it’s a fairly Helmut Newton-esque photo, with his specific version of blatant sex and sensuality, but, I find it so striking that a couple so naturally sensual comes across looking so… sexless.
